Dr. L. W. Watson is the Founder of Watson Consulting Services (WCS). L. W. Watson is a native of South Carolina, and earned his B.S. in Business from the University of South Carolina, M.A. from Ball State University, and doctorate of education from Indiana University at Bloomington.


Dr. Watson is a Certified Master Coach trained by the World Renowned Dr. Skiffington of the Behavioral Coaching Institute in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Watson is a Certified Training Consultant and a Certified Systems Engineer who was trained by Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Plano, TX. He has used his experiences in providing training, consulting and coaching numerous individuals in industry and education.For the last ten years, he has been preparing educators and coaching individuals about personal life and career decision making.

He is Professor and Executive Director of the Center for P-20 Engagement at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. He has written articles and books and served as editors for several volumes related to issue on personal and career development, assessment and outcomes, and administrative leadership issues in higher education.
